Montgomery Hospice is . . . . • Hospice at Home - Maryland's first licensed hospice home care service—helps patients live out their lives in a familiar place among the people and things they hold dear. • Casey House is the only in-patient medical facility in Montgomery County designed and built to provide 24-hour care to hospice patients and their families. Casey House offers several levels of care to meet patient needs - acute, respite and residential care. • Children’s Care, the only pediatric hospice service in the county, provides care for anyone under 18 with a life-limiting illness. This ranges from babies born with genetic problems to teenagers who have developed diseases such as cancer. • Bereavement Counseling provides support and follow-up to family members and friends of hospice patients for over a year following the patient's death. • Connection’s Day Camp is for children 4-17 who have lost a parent or sibling. For children and teens, it is a safe place to explore and express their unique feelings of loss and grief. • Palliative Medicine Consultants is the first community-based palliative medicine practice in the Washington area. The goal is to help the “total patient” and relieve the physical and non-physical suffering that disease may bring.
