Cause Description:
International AIDS Empowerment (IAE), a coalition of People Living With HIV/AIDS (PWA’s), is the primary voice advocating on behalf of people infected and affected by HIV in the region. International AIDS Empowerment works collaboratively with AIDS service organizations in Latin America, Africa and Asia. In addition to food pantry and nutritional services, IAE also maintains an emergency financial assistance program, support groups, a speaker’s bureau, HIV counseling and testing, HIV primary prevention and HIV secondary prevention programs. For other necessary services such as primary care, IAE staff refers clients to appropriate agencies. IAE also assists our clients in applying for Food Stamps and other local, state and federal programs. In addition, IAE receives referrals from AIDS clinics, private doctors, hospitals and other local entities.
