Adaptive Adventures is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization working to advance the quality of life of people with disabilities through year-round outdoor sports and recreation. Headquartered in Evergreen, Colorado, Adaptive Adventures identifies, promotes and provides progressive sports and recreation opportunities for children and adults of all ages, with physical disabilities. Adaptive Adventures is a mobile, non resort-based organization and working hard to "bring programs to people" as opposed to "people to programs." Our prorams offer opportunities for people with physical disabilities including, but not limited to: amputations, paraplegia, quadriplegia, birth defects, cerebral palsy, head injuries, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, strokes and visual impairments. Our programs, expert staff and core of dedicated volunteers -- many who are also physically challenged -- have allowd us to establish ourselves as a nationwide leader in the world of adaptive sports and recreation. Our knowledgeable and experienced team is a known resource to therapists, rehabilitation hospitals, parks and recreation departments and peer organizations.
