Cause Description:
Our organization is both a sanctuary for primates from pet homes or research facilities and a Service Learning Center for Florida Gulf Coast University. We provide long term care and housing in a safe and secure environment. It is our objective to educate the general public on the things they can do in their daily lives which will contribute to a more stable environment for primates in wild all over the world. We believe the best place for primates is in the wild, but first there must be a safe and secure wild area for them to exist. The rapid loss of rainforest, combined with poaching, pet trade from the wild and rampant commercial development are just a few of the trends we hope can be diverted in the future through education of the public. We strongly encourage recycling, educated environmental methods in agricultural pursuits and a more green way of living in our normal everyday life styles. We are a recognized 501(c)3 corporation.
