Cause Description:
Four in ten adults alone are functionally illiterate, meaning they cannot read or follow a prescription bottle, read a note from their child's teacher, or get a job that allows them to self-sufficient. New Jersey Reads: The Foundation for Literacy is the only statewide nonprofit that funds direct instruction literacy programs for children and adults. Donate online or, for Verizon residential customers, check the box on your bill and donate $1 a month to support literacy. Literacy is essential to fully participate in life. Would you please help?
