Cause Description:
Our mission is to educate the public, health care professionals, and health organizations about the benefits of a healthy vegetarian lifestyle. Events include potluck suppers, restaurant outings, events with nationally known speakers (usually health professionals). We table at health fairs and other community events. Club Veg also offers speakers for presentations to medical professionals, schools, community groups and work-site programs. We provide resources and referrals to the many people calling us who are looking to change their diet when they are diagnosed with heart disease, cancer and diabetes, or those who wish to do all they can to prevent these diseases in the first place. We also provide resources to those who are changing their diets to reduce animal suffering and environmental destruction.
