National Tay-Sachs & Allied Diseases Association New York Area(NTSAD)is dedicated to the treatment and prevention of Tay-Sachs and allied genetic diseases, many of which are fatal in childhood. NTSAD provides information and support services to affected individuals and families, as well as to the public at large. NTSAD is recognized as a leading non-profit, voluntary health organization with a demonstrated commitment to service, science, and support. Over one million people have been tested for the Tay-Sachs gene, thousands of Tay-Sachs carriers have been identified, and hundreds of healthy children have been born to high-risk couples. Unfortunately, genetic diseases still affect thousands of families every year. When you contribute to NTSAD, you help to fund vital programs of Research, Education, and Prevention which are carried out by dedicated professionals and volunteers. Help us to prevent the tragedy of these genetic diseases in other families.
