Cause Description:
Celebrates the dignity and courage of all young people as they discover their identity as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered or straight; and challenges society to stop the hate, the violence, the fear, the isolation, and the denial. All young people deserve to live, love, and be loved. YPA produces Youth Pride Day, a celebration of sexual minority youth in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area. Youth Pride Day is an annual event which gives youth a voice and allows sexual minority youth to be visible and know that they are not alone. YPA also produces other safe space, alcohol free social events for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered youth. There are over 20 organizations who are members of YPA.
