African Services Committee is a Harlem-based organization dedicated to supporting the health and self-sufficiency of New York City's African immigrant community. We provide a range of health, social, legal and housing services to over 10,000 people each year, focusing particularly on HIV/AIDS prevention and support. Additionally, we work on the international frontlines against the epidemic through the operation of our three HIV outreach, testing and counseling centers in Ethiopia and through our advocacy, policy work and technical assistance for NGOs in the U.S. and abroad.
