Cause Description:
The mission of Journeys from PADS to HOPE is to assist the homeless and those at risk of homelessness, and to study and address the underlying causes of homelessness. We strive to fulfill our mission by providing emergency and supportive services to homeless and "at risk" individuals and families in the northwest suburbs of Cook County. We are focused on intervention as well as prevention. Services provided to clients free of charge include: emergency shelter, a clothing closet, a food pantry, gas and food vouchers, transportation assistance, voicemail service, case management, mental health therapy, and vocational counseling. In addition to those services, clients have the use of phones, showers, lockers and laundry facilities.
