Founded in 1986 Just Harvest is an activist anti-hunger and anti-poverty organization. We work through public policy advocacy at every level of government for a stronger and fairer safety net for poor people in Allegheny County, PA. We address policies including federal, state, and local government budget priorities; welfare policy; tax supports for low-income working people; reducing barriers to food stamps, school meals, and other public food assistance programs; as well as promoting informed participation in voting and helping the general public understand why people are hungry and what you can do about it. Tax deductible gifts may be made to Just Harvest Education Fund.
