Cause Description:
Founded in Boston in 1878, CRJ works with adult and juvenile offenders and ex offenders helping them to learn the skills and tools to live in their communalities and stay out of prison. CRJ also works with adults who have developmental disabilities as well as mental health issues. CRJ also operates the Crime & Justice Institute (CJI); an internationally acclaimed think tank that recommends policy and best practices in the criminal justice, corrections, and parole fields. CRJ offers residential and day reporting services to adults and youth and helps these people to complete or advance their education, obtain employment skills and training, and helps communities to be safer places to live. CRJ clients also give back to the community through their volunteer efforts. Last year they provided more than 13,000 hours of community service.
