Cause Description:
The Nancy K. Perry Children's Shelter exists to provide nurturing emergency residential placements to children in Lexington County who are the victims of sexual or physical abuse, neglect, abandonment, expoitation or caregiver emergency. We are in our 33rd year of service the children of the County, and serve ages birth to 18. We are licensed for 14 beds and their is no limit on the amount of time a child may stay. We have the house parent model with a married couple residing on the premises. Many volunteers are active in our work as well as churches and civic clubs.
