Cause Description:
The Campus Kitchen at NU rescues food from dining halls at universities, purchases new food from the Greater Chicago Food Depository and has student and community volunteers work together to bring high-quality, nutritious meals to community organizations and individuals in need throughout the community. In addition, we provide many special programs that complement our meal service - nutrition education teams for our underserved youth clientele, tutoring/mentoring as well and many more programs. For our senior citizens, we provide much needed socialization, physical activities and much more. Our goal is to empower our clients so our future generations and our older ones are connected and self-sustaining.
