Cause Description:
Our grassroots organization is a creative outlet for outsider artists to develop, maintain and facilitate art/media projects with an outreach component. We provide a supportive space for the development, creation and exhibition of works by the local artistic community. Our dream is to reward artists in our community for the creation of their new works and to provide and foster a relationship between emerging and established artists. We want to raise awareness of Native Arts and Crafts because it is part of my ethnic heritage and interest in this field. We are the only art center in our vicinity that performs outreach work to at-risk youth, the disabled, and homeless. Our primary focus is to promote the arts while accomodating artists from diverse backgrounds. We want to see a revitalization in the arts because it stimulates economic growth, encourages learning and reawakens the creative spirit. We believe every artist should have access to the resources they need irregardless of their current income or disabilities.
