The Long Beach Humane Society is a not-for profit 501 (c) 3 charity. Our mission is to care for the homeless animals in our area until we adopt them into loving, suitable homes. The animals in our care are raised in Foster Care homes until they are ready for adoption. We then we place these animals on our website www.lbhs1.petfinder.com and into suitable pet shops until they are adopted. In addition to caring for homeless animals and adoption placement, we sponsor an active Trap-Spay/Neuter-Release program, visit nursing homes with kittens.
