Cause Description:
I am a nursing student with a desire to volunteer my skills to the needy women and children of Ghana (Africa). The organization I am going with is called AMURTEL. AMURTEL is a non-profit humanitarian organization committed to helping others in the areas of health and education. While in Ghana, I will be offering pre-post natal advice to women, immunizing children, as well as assisting in the delivery of babies. I will be working in a rural clinic; where people cannot afford to go to the hospitals in the city. The total cost of my trip is going to be approximately $5000. I am a full time student, and I also work part time to support my cause. Any assistance offered to help me go to Africa would be extremely appreciated by both myself, and those I help. Thank you :)
