Doctors of the World / BAM Fund: On December 26, 2003, a powerful earthquake struck southeastern Iran destroying much of the city of Bam. Doctors of the World/Médecins du Monde network delegations DOW-from France, Spain, and Greece, responded immediately by providing emergency medical care and humanitarian aid. Doctors of the World-USA is now working with the Iran Bam Project to raise funds to develop critical temporary health structures that will allow health services to continue as infrastructure is rebuilt. This project will be implemented by DOW-Spain.
