Cause Description:
The primary purpose of the Foundation is to fulfill the charitable wishes of its donors. The generosity of the Foundation’s donors make it possible to grant money to local charities and to award a number of scholarships, in addition, the Foundation works to create long-term community change. To date, the Community Foundation, through its relationship with donors has granted $1.1 million to the Orange County community in the form of direct grants, challenge grants, scholarships, and grants from the proceeds of endowed funds. The Foundation holds over 60 funds. In many instances, the Community Foundation serves as the convener – bringing people together to address the needs of the community and together finding solutions.
