NAMI Florida oversees 40 affilates throughout the state. Our mission is to postively impact the lives of men, women and children with illnesses of the brain and their families through our educational programs, outreach projects, 24 hour tollfree help and resource referral lines, support services and advocacy efforts. We are striving to preserve the dignity of our fellow citizens. A mental illness is an illness of the brain, an illness like any other--please help us find the cure and at the same time know that recovery is possible today. 1 in 4 Americans are effected by some sort of mental illness. NAMI is the state's voice on mental illness
