Caring People Alliance, an affiliate of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, is one of Philadelphia’s most comprehensive human service organizations. The organization offers a wide range of community programs and services for children and youth, as well as their support system, comprised of families and older adults. Caring People Alliance serves an estimated 11,000 individuals and another 500 families each year through three community centers and an additional 10,000 individuals through Child Care Information Services. Founded in 1932 as Crime Prevention Association, the organization changed its name in 2001 to Caring People Alliance to more accurately reflect its current scope of programs and services and highlight the organization’s role as an anchor in the community.
