Cause Description:
Based in Malden, MA, Youth Tech Entrepreneurs, Inc. (YTE), is a non-profit organization that provides an information technology curriculum, experiential learning programs, training, and support, to Massachusetts' public high schools and vocational schools to develop student leaders who will use their skills to help build their communities. YTE partners with schools and communities to integrate leadership, community service and business concepts into school coursework by creating project based learning opportunities that help students from diverse backgrounds to prepare for future success in a high-tech workforce. Currently, YTE partners with over 35 school districts in Massachusetts, and reaches over 1,000 students. In addition, YTE has a proven track record in developing community technology centers. Malden YTE students continue to be instrumental in the success of the Cyber Cafe @ Malden Square, now in its third year of business.
