Cause Description:
YMCA Camping Services, part of the YMCA of Metropolitan Minneapolis, provides transformational camping experiences to kids ages 8 - 18 with a focus on building character, developing a respect for the natural world, promoting peace and tolerance, and promoting four core values of honesty, caring, respect and responsibility. Donations help our Campership Fund that provides support to families who cannot afford the full fee and subsidizes every camper to keep camp available to all. Four resident camps: YMCA Camp Icaghowan in Amery, Wisconsin, YMCA Camp Ihduhapi in Loretto, MN, YMCA Camp Menogyn in Grand Marais, MN and YMCA Camp Warren in Eveleth, MN provide safe fun and enriching programs to over 3,500 kids and families each summer. From wilderness trips into the BWCA, traditional overnight camp experiences one and two week sessions, teen leadership programs, and special invitational wilderness adventure trips YMCA Camping Services is changing the lives of our youth one camper at a time.
