SIDS claims the lives of almost 3000 babies every year in the United States, more than cancer, leukemia, AIDS, infections, and all other causes of infant death. SIDS Mid-Atlantic provides bereavement support to families who have suffered an infant death, and provides education and training to professionals and lay people about reducing the risk of sudden infant death.
