CityDance Theatre

Las Cruces, New Mexico

Cause Description:
It is the mission of CityDance Theatre to provide high quality, affordable, creative dance experiences to the residents of Southern New Mexico and to encourage the development of dance and the theatre arts through our diverse curriculum and community-minded spirit. We offer a means of personal development, self-discipline, inspiration, and achievement of excellence to the adults, youth, and at-risk children of this community through the culturally diverse selection of dance programs that we provide. CityDance Theatre, as a non-profit organization, is dependent on contributions, volunteer support and grants to achieve our mission. In the last year and a half, due to the tragedy of September 11 and the faltering economy, many grant organizations (including State government) have markedly reduced or eliminated their funding. Through the gift of your generous tax-deductible contribution, however, CityDance Theatre will be able to continue providing support to young people through scholarships, and excellent, culturally rich dance programs to our community as a whole. CityDance will, with your support, greatly impact the lives of many young people through its ever-expanding dance instruction, public performances, and community outreach.
