A Leg To Stand On's mission is to help transform the lives of children with limb disabilities in developing countries by offering them the physical capabilities through corrective rehabilitative surgery, to access the opportunities earned through education, work and mobility. According to UNICEF, approximately 6 million children have been injured or disabled by conflict in developing countries over the past ten years. A leg or arm handicap can limit a child's ability to escape from danger, prevent a child from getting an education, disqualify a youth from working and prohobits a child's ability to play sports let alone exercise for health.
