Cause Description:
All 3 of John and Alicia Bennett's children, Ciara-11, Hunter-10, & Tommy was 4 when he passed away four years ago, have been diagnosed with a fatal illness - Sanfilippo Syndrome. There is hope for one of the children in the form of a transplant procedure that can be done at Duke University Children's Center, but the Bennetts have to raise funds to cover their expenses while there in North Carolina for several months. The Bennett Children's Fund is attempting to raise $50,000 and to raise awareness of Sanfilippo Syndrome - a genetic condition so rare that little to no research is being done.
