Cause Description:
AAHD works with individuals, both children and adult, who function inefficiently because of a lack of neurological organization. This covers the broad spectrum of disabilities from a child who is an underachiever in school (ADD, ADHD and other nuerological problems) to a severly brain injured individual who has limited functioning. AAHD is an association of families with brain injured members, clinics, physicians, therapists from numerous disciplines and educators. AAHD also offers training and accreditation of sensorimotor specialists. weminars and workshops, education and information for parents concerning available treatments, and promotion of research that will improve treamtnet procedures which enhances neurological organization.
