Girl Scouts of Big Sky Council, a not-for-profit organization in Montana, serves 83,000 square miles and over 5,000 girls in the western and central counties of the state. The council has been a charter member of Girl Scouts since 1958. Girl Scout program is open to all girls ages 5 - 17 and the adults working with them providing they subscribe to the Girl Scout Promise and Law, regardless of race, creed, ability or other factors. Our program is designed to enhance positive skill development to achieve self-reliance, clarification of values for sound decision-making, leadership, teamwork, respect for others, commitment to society, feelings of belonging and more. The council is governed by a nineteen member Board of Directors who establish the policies which govern the council and ensure the safety of our membership.
