Cause Description:
Midwest Assistance Dogs trains hearing dogs, service dogs, companion dogs, balance dogs and seizure alert dogs. The training of each dog is tailored to the recipient's individual needs. The dogs trained are rescued from humane shelters or donated. Dogs are provided to physically challenged individuals for a donation from sponsors or the individual. These dogs make it possible for handicapped individuals to remain independant, and help to enhance their self-confidence and outlook on life. These dogs also provide companionship to improve the quality of life for the recipient as well as providing a second chance for a dog that was abandoned or unwanted.
