Cause Description:
The VPP trains and certifies volunteer handlers and their pets to visit in nursing homes, hospitals and retirement facilities. Our literacy project, Reading To Rover, helps young readers improve their reading aloud skills. We currently have 180 volunteers who visit 35 facilities in the Greater New Orleans area.
