Cause Description:
The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, Texas' oldest and most legendary Horse Show, features horses and riders from all over North America. The Show is a rich part of Houston's history, celebrating its 53rd anniversary in 1998. Proceeds from the Horse Show benefit Ronald McDonald House of Houston. The Ronald McDonald House is a "Home-away-from-Home" for the families of children undergoing treatment for cancer or other serious illnesses. Families are able to stay at the House instead of hospital lounges and expensive hotel rooms and share with other families who are undergoing the trauma of childhood illness. The mission of the House is to strive in all ways possible to relieve the stress and pain of illness by offering these families a warm, caring environment where they can share their concerns and by supporting the advances in medical treatment for cancer at Texas Children's Hospital. The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show is proud to support the Ronald McDonald House of Houston.
