Cause Description:
Women's Community AIDS Resource (WIAR) is the only organization focusing on women and children who are HIV/AIDS positive. WIAR enables women and children affected by HIV/AIDS to lead fuller lives. WIAR offers social services through support groups, counseling, case management, advocacy, respite childcare, outreach services, and social activites to women throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington. In addition to this, WIAR provides practical support through their food bank, clothes closet and hygene supplies, and financial assistance. Most of the families that WIAR serves are below the national poverty line.
