Free The Children is an organization founded on principles designed by youth, operated on principles implemented by youth and driven by the spirit of youth to meet the challenges faced by youth. This is the vision and the reality embraced by 100,000 young people around the world. Free The Children is a unique international organization of children helping children at a local, national and international level through representation, leadership and action. It is committed to the premise that young people of the world have the right to full intellectual, physical, emotional and social development. Included in these basic human rights is the right and responsibility to participate in finding solutions to their own problems and those of their peers around the world. Free The Children is unique and innovative because it empowers young people to become involved in social issues and it is young people themselves who are the active decision makers in all levels of the organization.
