The United Pegasus Foundation (UPF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1994. We are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and retiring horses. UPF has become one of the largest Thoroughbred retirement, rehabilitation, and adoption organizations, saving hundreds of former racehorses from slaughter by giving them a humane and deserved retirement. With an operating cost of approximately $350,000 a year, UPF relies on volunteers and the generosity of donors to perform its mission and maintain its well-equipped farm with a carrying capacity of more than 100 horses.
