Blind Boone Park was built during segregation for the black community.Neglected in the 1960's, brought back to life by volunteers & public park by 2005. John William "Blind" Boone was a concert pianist early 1900's & pioneer of ragtime. He was an inspiration to all as he brought black & white audiences together, and inspired children & adults.We are an all volunteer group working to bring out community together & provide a park that our community & visitors can enjoy. Sculpture, walkway for the blind, audio histoy, beauty & peaceful grace.
