Cause Description:
The POSSY was formed as a non-profit organization in 1995 to provide Philadelphia youths ages 13-19 with the opportunity to participate in a singing group that performs in artistic events throughout the Philadelphia region. The mission is to provide young people from a range of socio-economic backgrounds with the following opportunities: ú Develop their musical talent ú Develop self confidence by performing in public ú Develop self esteem by acting as role models in the communities they serve The secondary objective is make an artistic contribution to economically disadvantaged members of the Philadelphia community who do not usually have access to free musical performances.
