Cause Description:
SAF's mission is to bring students and farmworkers together to learn about each other's lives, share resources and skills, improve conditions for farmworkers and build diverse coalitions working for social change. SAF's programs a summer internship program "Into the Fields" for college students to work with various farmworkers service and advocacy organizations in North and South Carolina, a drop-out prevention programs for farmworker and Latino youth and technical assistance, classroom curriculum and other resource materials for use by college campuses interested in developing similar programs. SAF is mobilizing a network of campus-based projects that focus on farmworker issues.
