Cause Description:
Provide sanctuary along with therapeutic and educational programs for women who have a significant criminal history of prostitution and drug addiction. Developed primarily as a safe house for prostitutes, Magdalene's residential program provides long-term, secure housing as a haven from the social factors that drive women to prostitution. Women come directly when released from jail and can stay up to 2 years while receiving the counseling, educations, medical help and services they need in order to be productive citizens, break the cycle and regain custody of their children.
