Horizons Community Services is the Midwest's largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) social service and advocacy agency. Community-based and volunteer-driven, Horizons has served more than 500,000 clients since its founding in 1973. Today, hundreds of volunteers and staff offer seven distinct programs that empower, heal, support, educate, and advocate for members of the LGBT community, as well as the Chicago community in general. Almost all of Horizons’ programs and services are provided free of charge or on a sliding-fee scale basis.
