Cause Description:
The Earl Cole Legg Calvé Perthes Fund was begun by Survivor: Fiji winner, Earl Cole who had Legg Calvé Perthes as a child. Perthes, as it is commonly known, is a debilitating childhood syndrome that affects blood flow to the hip. This causes bone loss and eventually arthritis, often severe. The Fund was created to promote awareness, research for the disease and funding to families who might not otherwise have financial means to get needed treatment for their children.
