Founded in 1966, Animals In Distress is an all-volunteer, no-kill cat shelter located in Wilton, CT. Our mission is to rescue stray and abandoned cats and kittens with the ultimate goal of finding each and every one of them a forever home. While in our care, we provide the cats a cage-free and loving environment, with every necessity possible. Prior to rehoming, all of our rescues are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, FeLV/FIV tested, appropriate vaccines and microchipped. Often, we encounter an injured or sick cat that requires immediate medical care, special surgery or prolonged specialized treatment. We do not hesitate to provide all and any required care, as the well-being of the cats is our #1 priority.
