Cause Description:
Furever Home is a Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) only rescue, although we often take cats that are double positive (FeLV and FIV). Historically, these cats were almost always euthanized since shelters and other rescues are unable to care for cats with a contagious virus. But here at Furever Home, we feel these cats are just as important as others and deserve the opportunity to live long, healthy, happy lives. Many cats with FeLV can live years, especially if contracting the virus as an adult. We aim to provide them with those years. Our motto is “quality of life is more important than quantity” and we take that very seriously. We understand life is fragile and comes with no guarantees, so we strive to make today the best day of their lives.
