Cause Description:
MSSF organizes and supports the regional and state science and technology fairs all over Massachusetts. We have outreach, mentor, and scholarship programs to support all children interested in science. Founded in 1949 the Massachusetts State Science Fair was the first in the country. The 1998 State Fair will be held at MIT with over $150,000 in awards including many scholarships and educational materials contributed by our supporters. The six regional fairs are held throughout the state during the month of March each sending as many as forty students to the state fair. A new event, the Middle School State Fair, will be held on May 9 at Thayer Academy in Braintree. All funds donated support operations and awards.
