Cause Description:
Founded in 1979 by merging the Ramapo Animal Refuge of Oakland and the Bergen Animal Rescue of Teaneck, RBARI is a non-profit, "no-kill" shelter, giving adoptable animals an open-ended stay at a warm, safe place until they find loving homes. RBARI operates with a small full and part-time staff and a large number of volunteers, who help care for the animals, work in the office, and plan and carry out the organization's programs and fund-raising events.
